Two to tell you about (and a smurf)

Firstly, the Faversham Hop Festival outdoor thingummy at the Swan & Harlequin. The S&H is somewhere we have played several times and always had a great time and an appreciative audience. So this one was kinda strange. We were not the only band on (obviously) and we had to cut short the set, but we felt it went well enough. Unfortunately we were up against the England game which kicked off at the same time we did, so the crowd was a bit thinner than it might have been, but hey ho.

We're back there in November and I'm sure we'll have another excellent time.

Last Friday saw us make the "short" journey to Sandwich to the Fleur de Lys. Always interesting to play at a new venue, one entire end of the pub was given over to us, so space was (somewhat unusually) not at a premium. The set was received well by those who were listening, but most people were interested in the chap dressed as a smurf (and you can take from that what you will!!!). No details of why he was dressed as a smurf are available and, to be honest, I'm not sure we actually want any!

The chaps played their usual blinder on both dates and the band continues to get tighter and more confident with every gig. Andy is turning into the consummate front man and his crowd forays are becoming legend!

This weekend we're on Sheppey at a sailing club. I'm sure the report from that will be interesting!!!!

Stay happy and healthy.

Colin.
