My Opinion (so it must be right!)
We've had the surreal and the travelogue, so now the serious business of hypercriticality...
...or not, in this case!
Andy - Gets better with every gig. His vocal performance, handling of the crowd, humour etc just keep astounding us. His throat must have been red raw by the morning. His lovely (and patient) missus has much to thank us for, you know!
Dave - Is normally seen as the more stoic of the two guitarists, but seemed to be spurred on by the crowd and then hampered by the lack of space in which to throw off the shackles of stationary headbanging! Solos like a maniac, right enough!!
Jon - As a drummer it is easy to be held back by some bassists who refuse to move out of their comfort zone. Jon, however, ain't one of them! A challenging and exceptional talent he pushes me harder than anyone has before. HE MAY HAVE TO GO!!!!!! Different position for Jon on Friday, as he was further away from the kit so, apparently, he didn't feel we were as tight as we normally are. I would have to disagree and say that we still remain by far the best and tightest rhythm section in the band.
Lee - Quite simply the Guv'nor! Plays like a demon, poses like a (very posey) demon, and as for the Sandman solo...come and see for yourself.
Me - Same old hard hitting (definitely), time keeping (hopefully), sweating (copiously), baldy nutter you get whenever we play
Crowd - Probably the best we've ever played to (apologies to all the past crowds, but you must try harder!). Knowledgable, noisy and exuberant are only three words in the English language. Fortunately for this blog, all apply!
A big thank you from myself and K-l to Marcus and Michelle for making the journey and taking the chance we weren't crap. Glad we didn't disappoint.
A second big thank you from me to the rest of the band. It's a genuine pleasure to share a stage (pub floor) with you.
The biggest thank you to K-L for just being K-L.
We'll try and get something between now and the end of July to keep the adrenalin up.
Take care y'all!

It makes a pleasant change to be in the driving seat, it's normally the drummer taking me by the scruff of the neck and dragging me 'til I'm kicking and screaming.
